Hardly ever have cleaning supplies but the facility is nice

it has all the stuff you need but i would like to have calibrated plates so i can actually lift a good weight, when i go to squat i want to be able to do more than 475 before i run out of space on the bar

The equipment is nice and the place is clean but I’ve had quite a few issues with the towel service. On many occasions I will ask for a towel and be told there are none… This makes zero sense as there are a bunch of workers just sitting at the desk while there are bins full of dirty towels right next to them. Either get more towels or have somebody wash the ones you have. This gym isn’t cheap and I would like to be able to use the amenities I pay for.

I’ve been lifting for over a decade and consider myself a knowledgeable/respectful gym-goer and the other day I was doing heavy deadlifts and was asked to not drop my weight on an Olympic platform (literally what they’re made for) I’ve never heard someone say such nonsense in my life… I was genuinely confused because I was 100% aware of my surroundings and was certainly not dropping the weight because of ego. These are power lifting movements for any of you staff members that don’t know anything about lifting or the science of the body. It is extremely dangerous to control heavy weight back down on the negative eccentric part of the movement. It’s one thing to be a jerk and not be safe about dropping the weight down and be making a big scene but that wasn’t the case here and I honestly felt very disappointed in the lack of acknowledgment by the staff member, do better. Its kind of awkward when you can’t defend yourself against uneducated people, but it’s even worse when they work in that profession… As much as I enjoy your facility it’s disappointing that the students of nau and the people of Flagstaff can’t use it to it’s full potential.

Standard gym I would say, it's great for students but it's always very crowded. The indoor running track is pretty nice, with a good view of the basketball field below. I like how treadmills and stationary bikes are positioned with a good view of the soccer field or the San Francisco Peaks.
